CUSEC’s longest, current sitting board member, Jerry Uhlmann, has announced that he is retiring from his post as Director of the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. He was the is also the longest continuous State Emergency Management Director in the country. Mr. Uhlmann was recognized at the most recent CUSEC Board meeting for his commitments in educating the public on the earthquake hazard in the central United States. In addition to serving as the Director of SEMA for 12 years, Mr. Uhlmann had a 32 year career with the Missouri National Guard.
