State Emergency Management Agency Information
The South Carolina Emergency Management Division is comprised of six different offices: The Director's Office, Public Information, Preparedness and Recovery, Response and Operations, Critical Incident Management Group, and Administrative Services. The Director and his executive staff are responsible for maintaining oversight of the state's preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation activities to include the daily management of the division. The Director's Office is also responsible for the state's coordination efforts with emergency management personnel at the local and national levels. His office also monitors legislative issues that may have an affect on state emergency management.

State Geological Survey Information

The mission of the Geological Survey is to provide a research-oriented, service program that studies, collects, analyzes, and reports aspects of surface and subsurface geology information to assist the decision-making process involving economic development, wise land-use, and the environment of the different physiographic areas of South Carolina.
